How to reduce the damage to the excavator by hammering?

Post by DIG-DOG »

The role of the breaker hammer for the excavator is very large. Many engineering projects need to use the breaker hammer, such as demolition, road opening, etc. The main function of the breaker hammer is to break some hard objects to facilitate the project. We all know that the damage of the excavator hammer to the excavator is very large. How to operate it to reduce the damage to the excavator?

1. Do not use the guard plate of the breaker hammer to push those heavy objects

Sometimes there are other heavy objects blocking the place that needs to be broken. In order to be convenient, many operators will use the breaker hammer to push directly, which is wrong. Because the excavator breaker hammer itself is light in weight, if it is used to push heavy objects, it will damage the breaker hammer at the least, and cause the main engine boom to break at the worst, and even cause the main engine to roll over.

2. Do not work at the limit stroke of the cylinder

Do not work at the limit stroke of the cylinder. The hydraulic hammer will produce greater vibration when working. The oil in the two chambers of the cylinder can play a certain vibration absorption role, thereby protecting the cylinder from damage.

3. No empty hitting

After the object is broken, stop the hammer immediately to prevent empty hitting. When the excavator hammer is empty hitting, the piston transmits the impact force to the steel drill, and the steel drill transfers the impact force to the steel drill pin. The steel drill pin is easy to break when it is subjected to strong impact force. Continuous empty hitting will cause serious damage to the hammer, the main machine working device, etc.

4. Keep the drill rod and the broken object at 90°

Always keep the drill rod and the broken object at 90°. If the object moves or the surface has been broken, the working angle should be adjusted immediately to keep the movement coordinated.

5. The continuous hitting time should not exceed one minute

When the same position is hit continuously, the drill rod will generate high heat, causing the tip to melt. When encountering a hard hitting object, the longest time should not exceed one minute. If there is no water hitting, the hitting position should also be changed.

The use of a breaker hammer will cause a lot of damage to the excavator, but it is inevitable to use a breaker hammer during operation. In order to reduce the damage to the excavator during use, the above points should be kept in mind during operation and regular maintenance and inspection should be carried out.
