Operating skills Excavator leveling operation essentials and precautions

Post by BONOVO »

Action essentials:
1. On the land to be leveled, first visually check the height of both ends of the ground, then find the elevation point from the high end of the ground, and level it in turn towards the low end, and finally dig out the soil above the elevation point, fill it in the low-lying area, and visually level it.

2. Lower the boom of the excavator, open the second arm to an angle of about 45 degrees with the boom; open the bucket so that the bucket mouth and the second arm arm are basically horizontal; drop the bucket to the ground, retract the second arm, lift the boom, and pull the soil back; rotate the machine and level it one bucket at a time in sequence.

3. Finally, visually level it, coordinate the operation of the boom, second arm and bucket according to the specific terrain conditions, and complete the leveling work.

Things to note:

1. The vehicle should stand flat

If the excavator cannot stand flat, even a god cannot level it

2. Keep your eyes active

If you stare at the bucket through the glass for a long time to operate the leveling, it is easy to have illusions and fatigue, so your eyes should observe the leveled ground from various angles from time to time. You will find that different angles give you different feelings.

3. Choose the surrounding reference objects

For example, the leveled place, the color of the soil layer, etc.

4. The bucket should keep a fixed angle

Measure the height with the bucket and the foundation slope, and when the excavator stands flat, it should be close to the leveled ground and rotate 180 degrees.

5. Trust the instrument, don't trust your eyes too much.

If you work for a long time, your eyesight will be tired, and you will naturally feel some deviations. At this time, you must fully trust the accuracy of the instrument.

6. Step back frequently and look at the leveled ground from a different angle.

After digging an area and feeling that it is about right, step back about the length of a parking space and look at the surface dug in front. You can easily tell the heights. This is something you can find out by yourself, and it is especially suitable for working conditions with darker soil colors.
