1. If you can see several points on the same horizontal line when standing on the ground, you can make a mark and use them as reference points when leveling.

2. Don't be greedy when leveling. If you pay attention, you will find that the old master rarely extends far when leveling, because it is difficult to coordinate when the arm is extended far. Therefore, when you are just starting to level, try to swing the forearm back and forth on the vertical line, extend it one or two buckets beyond the vertical line, and retract it one bucket beyond the vertical line.

3. Learn to use the reference standards of front, left, and right. Stretch straight forward, and retract 50 centimeters close to the found plane. The plane found in front is also used as a reference template for the back. Use the continuity of raising the upper arm and retracting the forearm in these 50 centimeters to level the soil behind. The left and right sides are horizontal, and the bucket is also used as a template. When looking for the second bucket, two bucket teeth are exposed to press the flat surface of the bucket. Look at the height of these two bucket teeth and slowly level them. In the future, each bucket will have two tooth marks overlapping.

4. The excavator itself must be level. It is difficult to find a level if it is not level. After finding a section, put the bucket on the surface and swing it left and right. Do not move the arm. If the excavator is level, it will be level when it swings left and right.

5. Adjust the error. Generally, it is either too high or too low on the excavator. This is a phenomenon that everyone will have. So after you have found one or two sections, take a look first. When you find an error, see how much the error is, and then adjust it. Some people have a good habit of self-adjusting the error of vision, while others don’t, so you need to come down and take a look more.

6. You must learn to use the surrounding reference objects as a standard. You don’t have to set the reference standard point yourself. When leveling, it is not advisable to find too wide. You also need to look at the terrain to determine where to start from high to low. In fact, leveling also requires more observation, thinking, and planning before doing it.
