With the arrival of summer, heavy rains have increased, which has made a lot of construction machinery workers suffer. The rain has not stopped, and the water has accumulated seriously. It is very dangerous for excavators to work, especially in mountainous areas with loose soil, where there is always the risk of landslides. When excavators are working in such an environment, Jiangxi Kato reminds you to pay attention to the following matters!
1. Prepare well - survey and tools
In fact, many car sinking can be avoided. There is obviously too much water in the mud, and it is too deep to go down. Don't be lucky. As a boss, it is better to ask amphibious excavators to complete it. If the construction period is not urgent, you can drain the water first, let the construction site dry for a few days, and wait until the soil hardens before starting the work.
As a machine owner and operator, you must bring steel ropes and steel plates to do work such as fish ponds and silt, and don't go down easily.
Before starting work, use a bucket to insert the bottom of the pond and the slope to see the hardness of the mud. Generally, you should be careful when the bucket can be submerged to 3/4 of the bucket. If the entire bucket is submerged, it is best not to take this job.
It is especially important to remind you that the surface of some ponds has dried up, but after a few dozen centimeters, there is sand or mud. If you go down without exploring it clearly, you will definitely get stuck; sometimes the pond bottom is hard, but the slope is full of mud, which will also cause the machine to get stuck when going downhill.
2. The importance of going downhill - leave a good retreat
First of all, pay attention to going downhill. If you don't get the posture right, you will also overturn or get stuck. When going down, you must think about how to get up and be sure to leave a retreat.
According to the experience of netizens, there are several items for reference:
Don't go downhill diagonally, it's best to go down at 90 degrees
Don't put the bulldozer in front when digging mud
The driving wheel goes down first when the mud is down, and the guide wheel faces the direction of the retreat
When retreating, the adhesion of the track is greater when the driving wheel is at the back and climbing up the slope than when the guide wheel is at the back. If the guide wheel is at the back, the upper part of the track is tightened when climbing the slope, and the large spring behind the guide wheel will buffer the explosive force of the driving wheel. When the vehicle shows signs of getting stuck, if you pull the forearm hard, it's over.
Extend the forearm farther and use the bucket to pull, and the forearm should be smaller, so there may be a chance to escape. When entering the mud pit, use dry soil to push forward, push the mud to the front, and then work. For a 20-ton vehicle, the mud needs to be padded with 60 cm thick dry soil.
3. Precautions during operation - exit gently and in time
1. When working in the mud, the movements must be gentle to avoid violent shaking of the machine, which will sink quickly.
2. You can use the forearm to drag the car, prop up the car a little bit, and then retract the forearm and the car will move forward directly, so as to avoid crushing the hard shell on the mud.
3. When you find that the chain belt has sunk halfway, you must exit in time. Don't think that it doesn't matter if you add a few more buckets. You must know that this is already the critical point, and it will be difficult to get out if you sink further.
4. Always pay attention to the chain belt around. If the chain belt of the excavator is unbalanced, it will not be able to use its strength. Do not allow it to idle. Once it idles, it will crush the soil on that side, and the machine will tilt to the idling side, which is likely to overturn.
5. Do not extend the bucket into the mud, especially the sticky mud, which is difficult to lift.
6. If the excavator is on a hard-bottomed slope and there is water, the whole machine will slide down when the forearm is retracted.
7. When working by the water, the working surface of the excavator is above the mud and is about the same height as the water surface. Try not to make the working surface lower than the water surface, otherwise it will easily become worse.
8. When digging mud with a slippery layer "such as coal ash", it is best to straighten the excavator to dig. Don't be afraid of trouble. If you find that it is about to collapse, you can retreat quickly. If it collapses, it is easy to get out.
9. If the entire chain is sunk, but the machine body is still on the upper layer of the mud surface and can keep turning, you can save yourself. You must be calm and don't panic. You can try to dig out some mud under the car and try to pull it forward. You can "float" over like a boat. If the car sinks as soon as you move, don't operate it anymore and wait for rescue.
10. If it really sinks, dig out the mud under the chain. It is possible that the chain is sucked by the mud.
11. Put a steel plate, iron plate, or wooden plate under the chain. In short, put a hard surface under the chain so that the machine can use force to get out.
12. Pay special attention. When you judge that the machine has sunk and will continue to sink as long as you move it slightly, don't do anything else, otherwise it will sink deeper and deeper and the loss will increase.
4. Subsequent work of waiting for rescue
If you really can't save yourself, you can only spend money to request rescue. Before waiting for other machines to rescue, check whether there is water in the trapped vehicle. If not, take precautions. If the rescue time is long, the machine may be flooded more severely due to sudden rainstorms, especially in projects such as digging drainage ditches in the south.
It doesn't matter if it is trapped. It will be more troublesome if the excavator is broken.
After the machine is pulled up, it is time to clean it up. When the car is cold, use a high-pressure water gun to rinse it thoroughly. The cab can also be directly rinsed with water. Trapped cars are really a headache and a tossing thing. The car is destroyed and the rescue cost is also quite high.
Warm reminder: Be cautious when accepting work and do what you can. If the work has already started, you must do a good job of preliminary preparation. Any accident can be greatly reduced as long as it is prevented. Don't be lucky or greedy during the operation. Don't think that digging more buckets is more buckets. Always observe and exit early.
