1. Equipment preheating operation
Medium-speed engine operation: After starting, operate the engine at medium speed and operate the bucket for preheating at the same time.
Speed-up operation: Raise the engine speed to the highest and run the bucket and dipper stick continuously for about 5 minutes.
Travel system preheating: Lift the machine to rotate the crawler and preheat the left and right travel motors respectively to ensure the flexibility of the equipment.
2. Fuel and lubricating oil
Diesel selection: Select a suitable diesel model (such as -10 to -30) according to the temperature in the area to avoid waxing of diesel and causing difficulty in starting.
Replace the filter: Replace the diesel filter to ensure smooth fuel system.
Oil adaptation: Select locally applicable thickened oil and replace the oil filter.
3. Hydraulic and cooling system
Hydraulic inspection: Check whether the hydraulic system has oil leakage, repair it in time if necessary, and insulate the fuel tank if conditions permit.
Cooling pipe: Carefully check the cooling system hose. If it is found to be aging or broken, it should be replaced immediately to prevent failure during winter operation.
4. Antifreeze and water tank management
Use of antifreeze: Do not add water directly. Use antifreeze suitable for local temperature to avoid dilution that affects cold start.
Maintenance of water cooling device: For equipment with water cooling device, drain the water in the water tank and remove the water filter.
5. Precautions for long-term storage
Battery maintenance: Remove the battery and store it in a warm environment to prevent the battery from feeding.
Diesel filling: Try to fill the tank after shutdown to reduce the air content in the tank and prevent ice from blocking the fuel line.
Regular start: Start the engine and operate the air conditioning system once a month to ensure that all systems work properly.
6. Grease and lubrication
Grease selection: If No. 3 lithium-based grease is too viscous, use No. 2 lithium-based grease with a slightly lower viscosity to ensure lubrication.
7. Prevention of common problems
Filter blockage: Be careful to prevent diesel wax from adhering to the fuel filter and affecting the fuel system.
Coolant selection: Select antifreeze with a suitable freezing point according to the local temperature to ensure the normal operation of the cooling system.
