① Fault diagnosis
First of all, we must first make sure that if only the boom is lifted slowly and powerlessly, the bucket flipping and other actions are normal, which means that the working pump and the main safety valve are working normally and the pressure provided to the entire system is sufficient.
It also means that the pipeline and oil filter at the oil inlet end of the pump and the oil quantity and oil quality of the oil tank are fine. At this time, you only need to check the boom slide valve, boom cylinder, and the oil pipe and seal ring of the boom part.
a. Check the oil circuit blockage
First, remove the oil pipe, remove the boom slide valve body, valve stem and related parts for cleaning, clean the oil channel and blow it through with compressed air.
b. Check the oil circuit leakage
Hydraulic system leakage generally occurs after a period of use, and is mostly caused by seal failure, damage, extrusion or strain on the sealing surface.
There are many reasons for the damage of seals, such as oil contamination, improper sealing surface roughness, unqualified sealing grooves, loose pipe joints, increased gap between mating parts, excessive oil temperature, deterioration of sealing rings or poor assembly, etc. Leakage is divided into internal leakage and external leakage, and the fault is usually caused by internal leakage.
c. Treatment of internal leakage fault
Internal leakage mainly occurs in the boom slide valve and cylinder. Internal leakage mainly occurs inside the valve body and cylinder, which is not easy to check. But we can use some auxiliary methods to judge the leakage.
d. Inspection of the boom cylinder
When the boom cylinder piston is received at the bottom, remove the rodless cavity oil pipe and continue to fill the rod cavity of the boom cylinder with oil. If a large amount of working oil leaks from the rodless cavity oil pipe port, it means that the hydraulic cylinder has internal leakage.
You can also fill the bucket with load, lift it to the limit position, put the boom joystick in the middle position, and turn off the engine to observe the sinking speed of the boom.
Then, put the boom lever in the rising position. If the boom sinking speed is significantly accelerated at this time, it also means that the internal leakage occurs in the hydraulic cylinder. If the sinking speed does not change significantly, the internal leakage is caused by the boom slide valve.
e. Inspection of the boom slide valve
The leakage of the boom slide valve is mainly due to the large clearance between the valve stem and the valve body, the damage of the pressure regulating spring, and the damage of the seal inside the valve. Check the clearance between the valve stem and the valve body, check the pressure spring, and see if the seal inside the valve body is damaged.
② Troubleshooting
If the leakage test result in the oil cylinder exceeds the specified value, you should disassemble it for further inspection. If the sealing ring is damaged, the cylinder wall is seriously scratched, or the boom valve is seriously worn, any of the three situations needs to be replaced.
