How to check and adjust the fuel injection pump fuel advance angle?

For a worker driving a road roller, adjusting the fuel supply of the fuel injection pump is a relatively basic job. Today, the parts manufacturer will briefly introduce to you how to adjust the fuel supply advance angle of the fuel injection pump.

Check the fuel supply advance angle, generally based on the cylinder. During the inspection, remove the high-pressure yo tube of the fuel injection pump cylinder, pry the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation, pay attention to carefully observe the oil level in the cylinder high-pressure oil pipe joint, and stop prying when the oil level just fluctuates. Then check whether the scale on the flywheel ring gear indicated by the pointer or mark on the flywheel housing meets the angle value of the fuel supply advance angle specified for the model. If the above angle value is less than the specified value, the fuel supply advance angle is reduced, otherwise it is increased.

Generally speaking, the functional advance angle of a diesel engine will only decrease and not increase during use. When the fuel supply advance angle does not meet the regulations, it should be adjusted. When adjusting, first check the degree of reduction or increase from the flywheel gear ring, then loosen the connecting bolts of the coupling at the front end of the injection pump. When the crankshaft does not rotate, rotate the flange and camshaft to the corresponding angle (which can be seen from the scale on the flange) in the same direction (to increase the advance angle) or opposite (to see the effective advance angle) of the rotation direction of the injection pump cam. Then tighten the connecting bolts.

When adjusting, you must pay attention to adjusting the advance angle to the specified normal value. It cannot be too large or too small. Too large will make the engine work roughly, reduce power, and increase fuel consumption. Too small will cause difficulty in starting, reduce working pressure, and also reduce power, increase fuel consumption, and cause the engine to overheat and emit black smoke.
